ただいま本目海水浴場という函館から北へ230km程の西海岸でキャンプをしております。

Now at Hommoku beach which is about 230 km north from Hakodate. Will be camping on the beach tonight.

天気は晴れ、なかなか楽しい一日でした。
国道299をひたすら北上してきたわけですが、車通りは少ないし、景色もなかなかで、120kmも走っちゃいました。

It's pretty nice bike ride on freeway No. 299. not many traffic and nice view. Rode 120km because of it...

今日のキャンプ, Camp for tonight.

青森から津軽海峡をフェリーで渡り、30日早朝2時頃函館へ。フェリーの中で爆睡。深夜走る気にもなれないし、待合室で5時まで爆睡。
起床→朝食の後、スタートするなら五稜郭だろということで向かう。
8時前に到着し、出発。いよいよ始まった感。

Got into Hakodate city about 2 am by Tugaru Kaikyo Ferry. Slept very well on it. By the time of sun rise, slept in ferry depot. After break first, decided to start at the Gorryoukaku park located middle of Hakodate city. About 8 am, finally sat up to get started.





大沼公園を通り、昼には八雲へ。国道5号をメインで走ったから、交通量が災厄に激しく、途中何度もヒヤヒヤな場所があった。

Went by Oonuma park and got to Yakumo city about noon. since mainly took national freeway No.5, traffic was horrible.

それでも途中、八雲の名水なんかの助けもあり、3時には今日のキャンプ場へ。町営でただ。しかも温泉隣接。420円。最高です。写真がアップできないのが残念。ビール飲んでバタンキュー。今日は105km、約8時間の走行でした。
Found the world famous? water "Yakumo water" on the way, and it helped a lot to boost my legs peddling. By 3 pm, arrived today's camping site, Yakumo hot spring. It was surprisingly for free even though there are hot spring right by. Really enjoyed it and drinking beer after ward.
Biked 105km and 8 hours today. Not too bad.

新宿からバスで10時間、やっと青森に到着。家から最寄り駅までと、西武新宿駅から夜行バスの集合場所まで自転車の入った重い荷物を運ぶの大変だった。おかげで、両肩ヒリヒリのタオルを絞れるほど汗かいた。。

今は青森港で津軽海峡フェリー待ち。といっても、良い時間帯のがないから明日の朝2時に函館に到着する便に乗るつもり。買い出しとか、青森観光でもするか。

10 hour on the bus...was so tiring. Its very heavy and painful to carry the bag that my bicycle was in from my home to near bus stop and from the Shinjuku station to the spot where the bus pick us up. Anyway, I am in Aomori now.

Since there was no good ferry time schedule, I will wait until midnight. Then start riding from tomorrow.

4日目

この日は、上高地方向から進んで、横尾から蝶ヶ岳に登るルート
あんまりパッとしない天気で残念。

Day 4, It's cloudy again. Today, will be heading towered Kamikouchi and hiked up Mt. Chougatake.


小川の写真なんかをとりながら進む。SIGMA を買ってからというもの、シャッタースピードを変えて撮る川の写真にはまってる。
Take some photos of the streams on the way. Since bought SIGMA DP1x, a camera that I bought recently, I am addicted taking photos with slow shutter speed.



横尾から急坂を3時間、1000m 登り蝶ヶ岳に到着。周りは真っ白で何も見えず、たまに雲の切れ目から山が見えた・・・一応記念撮影。ここで、予定通り両親と再会。
Took 3 hours to hike up, from 1600m elevation to 2600m. since it's so foggy, so couldn't see anything around but saw the mountain from a rift of cloud.







5日目は下山の日。山を安曇野方向にひたすら下り、3時間半くらい掛けて登山口まで。モモがプルプル。明後日からの北海道ツアーに支障がなければ良いのだが。結局今回は、山中4日中1日しか晴れなかったな～、でも御来光も見れたし良しとしよう。やっぱり山は良いな。

It's time for us to be back on day 5. Took 3 and half hours to go down. Steep down sloop killed my knees.... I hope it doesn't affect my bike tour in Hokkaido scheduled from a day after tomorrow.
In this time, we had only one day sunny, but saw beautiful sun rise on day second. All's well that ends well. I love hiking !!

4 days backpacking in Northern Alps

2日目、3時30分起床。周りのテントがごそごそして起こされる。。。こんな朝早くからフザケンナと思いながらテントを出る。。。。



と、目の前には地平線がオレンジ色になっている雲海・・・その上は星がキラキラ。そして後ろは槍ヶ岳の山頂がポッカリ。。。ご近所のテントさん許します。これを見れば何でも許せます。

Day second, my camping neighbors started banging around about 3 am, so I was woke up. I was little bit irritated and opened my tent...
There were a incredibly beautiful field of clouds and full of stars on the sky. I thought I would forgive everything done by my camping neighbors and thanks for walking me up...





4時45分。御来光。「自転車ワールドツアーが上手くいきますように・・・ムニャムニャ」

最高の2日目を迎え、出発準備。といっても今まだ5時・・・、でも皆さん続々と出発してる。やっぱり山の朝は早いな～。朝飯カレーを食べ、6時30分出発。　昨日とはうって変って、最高の景色の中を、槍ヶ岳山頂を目指して進む。昨日写真を撮れなかった分、そのリバウンドで写真を所構わず撮りまくり。

It's was the best start on day second. The people stayed at the lodge and camp site started taking off from 5 am. Alwasy, the morning of mountain is early. For myself, took off about 6:30. I took a lot off photos on the way since I couldn't take nice photos yesterday.

12:30　山頂到着, Got to the top.


結構最後のハシゴはビビるね。でも、今のお爺さんお婆さんは、こんな崖を登るからスゴイ。やっぱり団塊の世代は強いわ。

Bit scared to climb on the ladder. I was surprised that some grandpa and grandma also climbed such steep cliff with us.

頂上で昼食後、今日のキャンプ地へ上高地方面へ下る。ここにきて3時間の下りはキツかった～
After having lunch, heading to the camp ground for third night. the steep down slope kills my knee.

北アルプスを縦走してきた。
当初は両親と、中房温泉⇒燕岳⇒常念岳⇒蝶ヶ岳　というルートだったけど歩く速さが違いすぎるので、現地で予定変更。中房温泉⇒大天井岳⇒槍ヶ岳⇒蝶ヶ岳というルートを自分だけ行く事に。

Went to Northern Alps in Nagano Prefecture.
I was supposed to hike with my parents and to go to Nakabusa hot spring　⇒　Mt.Tubakuro ⇒ Mt. Jonen ⇒ Mt. Chogatake. However, due to the different walking speed of us, I decided to hike by myself and went different route; Nakabusa hot spring ⇒　Mt. Otensyo ⇒ Mt. Yarigatake ⇒ Mt. Chougatake.


一日目は登山口にある、中房温泉のキャンプ場泊。
ここ、温泉のキャンプ場だけあって、サイトの地面が地熱で熱くて熱くて、本当に夜寝苦しかった～^_^;

First day, camped out at hot spring. The heat of the ground was incredibly hot, so I couldn't sleep well...



午前７時頃、出発。ここは世に言う「表銀座」、やっぱり人が多いね。朝から観光バスで乗り付けた人とか、中学生の軍団がぞろぞろ登ってく。そんな中、ひたすら登り。途中、スイカとかを食べられる休憩場所があって、そこでスイカを食べる。これが甘くて美味かった～

Started hiking up at 7 am. This trail was one of the most clouded trail in Japan, so hikers call this trail "Omote Ginza" which means clouded trail like Ginza, Tokyo. On the way, there was a resting place sailing a Watermelon and some food. It was very nice to eat a very sweet Watermelon.



お昼くらいに、燕岳ふもとまで到着。天気は曇り、というか霧に一面覆われてて、何も見えず・・・
昼食を取り、両親に別れを告げ、一路大天井岳を目指す。

Reached the down bellow of Mt. Tubakuro about noon. It was cloudy weather, so couldn't see any thing from the top of ridge. Had a lunch with my parents, and I took off without them to Mt. Otensyo which is my second night camp.



2時頃、キャンプ地に到着。ガスって何も見えないから、大天井岳の頂上には明日の朝行く事にして、さっさとテントを張って休む。明日は晴れるといいな・・・　

About 2pm, arrived the camp for second night. It was supposed to take only 10min to get to the top of Mt.Otensyo from the camp, but since it's so foggy, I decided to set up the tent and take a rest. Hoped the weather gets better tomorrow...

石巻から帰ってまいりました。
Came back from Ishinomaki

前回から約1ヶ月の経過してからの訪問だった為、町が緑に覆われ、見違えるように綺麗になっているのにビックリした。
It's been a month since I visited Ishinomaki last time. I was so surprised how much progress they had.


以前は瓦礫や折り重なった車などがあった。
There used to be a lot of debris on this street


ただ、今回は石巻の雄勝方面の漁具回収・瓦礫撤去・ドブさらいも行き、市街地との復興スピードの格差にがく然とした。まだまだボランティアの数が足りていないらしく、聞くところによると阪神淡路大震災の1/4だそうだ。
受け入れ態勢は整っているし、まだ余震の心配はあるものの、1日から活動できるから、どんどんボランティアに行ってもらいたいものだ。

However, I saw how much help they still need after seeing the Ogatu area which is 1 hour driving to north east from central Ishinomaki city.
I heard that the number of volunteers is much smaller than when we had "The Great Hanshin earthquake"; 4 times smaller.
Today, more easy for people to come and help,even we had a one day option. I hope more people know this situation and decide to come and help.

さて、今回　7月1日～7月13日まで滞在した

最初3日間は、ACCJ（American Camber commerce in Japan)米国商工会の団体と行動し、嬉しくも仙台のホテルに滞在しながら活動をする事ができた。
The first 3 days, I worked with ACCJ and could stay at a hotel in Sendai which was so nice.


作業日1日目のアパート掃除, Cleaning up some rooms in an apartment.


その後、漁具回収のプロジェクトに加わらせてもらい、ひたすらカキ養殖用のロープを回収。現在漁具がぜんぜん手に入らない状況らしい。その為、流された漁具を再利用する事が最優先課題になっている。
After ACCJ left, I worked with the team that collects fisherman's lost such as buoys and rope for farming oysters.

漁具チームに3日程加わらせてもらい、その後はドンチーム（石巻駅北側担当）に加わり、ドブ掃除や壁撤去をお手伝い。なかなか独特のスタイルで、作業半分　地元住民との交流半分という感じ。トコヤを営む小松さんのお宅を中継ポイントにしていて、毎日のようにお昼にご馳走を頂いた。気仙沼であがったカツオや、マグロの心臓は絶品。ボランティアに来て、こんなご馳走を食べれるとは。。。
After spent 3 days with the team of collecting fisherman's lost, worked with Don-kun whose team works at the north side of Ishinomaki train station. They do work as usual but also spend more time for talking to local citizen which I think good. We stopped by Mr. Komatu, who is one of citizen affected by this circumstance, everyday because he kindly let us use his house as a resting room. Everyday, we were treated by nice lunch Mr. Komatu cooked. I couldn't believe that we could have such meal in there.

まだまだマンパワーが必要だし、後ろ髪を引かれる思いで帰ったが、9月23日から始まる自転車ワールドツアーの為に準備をしなければ。。。もし時間が取れればまた行こうと思う。今も炎天下の中、作業に入っているボランティアの皆さん、本当熱中症には気を付けて頑張って下さい。
I felt that need more man power in Ishinomaki but needed to head back to Tokyo because the time of my bike world tour is coming soon, so I should do more things for this. If I have extra time by then, I will go back again.
