When I woke up and opened my tent, fly seat was frozen. Seems the temperature of outside is still near 0. Cooking oatmeal with seeing snowy mountains was very nice.

朝テントを開けるとテントに氷が。。。まだまだ山は寒い。朝日に照らされる山々を見ながら作るオートミールは最高でした。


Took off by 7am. Since I stayed right before the pass, very steep slope was started immediately. I took 1hour for 300m.
メシを食べて7時には出発。峠下にキャンプしたから朝からかなりの急登だった。300mを1時間近くかけて登りきる。


After this pass, the view was totally changed. There were the glacier lake(Ala Kyol lake) down below and 360° panoramic view. It was absolutely gorgeous. The elevation of a high mountain behind me is 5020m and this pass is 3800m. I believe this is the highest point where I hiked up(I cycled up 4820m in Qinghai)
最後のひと越えの後景色は一転、眼下に広がる湖(アラキョル湖)と360°のパノラマは圧巻の一言。いやいや、キルギス、予想以上です。多分見える山々は天山山脈の一部？なんだろうか。ちなみに左奥の山が5020mで、自分がいる場所が3800m。 多分だが、登山で上がった場所としては最高地点(チャリでは青海省の峠4820mを1月前に越えている)





Stayed at the pass for awhile and started going down. The bank of the lake is full of flowers. I hated to walk on flowers; impossible to avoid flowers.
峠でしばらくゆっくりしてから下山開始。湖沿いを歩いて逆側へ下っていく。湖の畔は足の踏み場がないくらいの花畑状態で、歩く度に花を踏んでしまうから少し心が痛んだ。




This day, I ended up a nice camp spot, 10km from this morning. Good time to read a book.

今日は10キロくらい歩いた場所でナイスなキャンプスポットを発見したからおしまい。また読書に励むとしよう。

出発当日は晴れ！！ 良かった～



Had a breakfast and took off by 7am. I had a company going with by somewhere on the way. His name was Mr.Kim from Korea. He said "I go to Town within today " it's about 50km away, so owner of guesthouse told him it's impossible, but seemed he will try... Will see.
朝食を済ませて7時には出発した。宿で知り合った韓国人のキムさんも途中まで一緒の予定。キム氏は宿の主人に諭されるも、1日で50キロ近く離れたカラコルまで行くと意気込んでいる。普通に無理でしょ どうなる事やら



We stopped at a local firmly and were treated Chy tea. They live here during summer to feed their livestock. Kyrgyz really like Chy tea. I sometimes saw drivers taking a Chy break on their way while I was cycling.
道中キルギス人のヨートでチャイを頂いた。彼等は夏の3ヶ月の間、ここで暮らし家畜を肥やしている。キルギス人もチャイが本当好き。チャリで走っている途中もたまに車を停めてチャイブレイクをしているのを見かける。





From there walked 7km. What a amazing view there were. Some people said Kyrgyzstan as Swiss-land of Central Asia. However, for me, it reminds me Glacier National Park, Montana because I've never been Europe.
そこから谷間を西に7キロくらい進む。絶景かな絶景かな。キルギスは中央アジアのスイスと言われてるらしいが、ヨーロッパに行った事がない自分は、モンタナ州のグレーシャー国立公園を思い出した。違うのは家畜がそこら中にいるくらいか。いやいや気持ち良い。






After this point, Mr.Kim walked wrong way even though he didn't have any map. I tried calling him back loudly but seemed he thought I was just saying hello to him and kept going. Eventually, he realized it was wrong way and came back.
この後、キム氏は何を思ったのか地図もないのに先に進み、違う谷の方へ進んで行ってしまった。全力で叫んで呼び戻そうとしたが、手を振ってるのと勘違いしたようで先に進んでしまわれた(この後、キム氏は間違いに気付き引き返しました)


Walked awhile and stopped right before a pass; there will be the Glaicier lake after the pass. I stopped because the weather started changing, and I wanted to see nice view of the lake under clear sky. The location of camp site was perfect; nice view and a lot of flowers around.

そこからしばらく進んで、湖手前の峠下で今日はキャンプ(天気が変わってきていたし、朝の澄んだ空の下で湖を見たかったから) ロケーションは最高。一面お花畑でその向こうには山山山。



After setting up my tent and started reading my book, Mr.Kim founf me and came to my tent. He was very frustrated that he needed to give up to go up to the lake because it was too late. He went back same way with saying "Oh my god..." In next day, I thought that the god of him helped him and made him back because the trail became very rough and difficult.
テントを張って読書に励んでいる最中 キム氏と再合流。無事で良かった。ただ、寝袋も食料もないキム氏はカラコルへの1日走破は断念。
「あぁ～神様」と言いながら引き返して行かれた。翌日思ったが、かなりここから先の行程はハードだったし、何も準備していなかったキム氏は神様に助けられたのかもしれない。




This is my first day. I got my back very sore. I think it's because my backpack is not proper size of my body.

こんな感じで初日は終了。バックパックが身体に合わないからか、背中がかなり筋肉痛。。。

The weather got better, so it's better to take off to mountains
天候回復、さてさて山に入るとしよう。


For my plan for next few days.
というわけで、これからの予定。


I will take a Yak tour jeep (300som, $6) to Altyn Arashan. Then spend a night at a guesthouse and prepare for 3days backpacking; I will rent a 80litter backpack which will cost me 250som and bring food for 3 days. From tomorrow, I will take off and will go back to Kalakol city via a glacier lake called Ala Kyol and national park.
ヤクツアーのジープ(300som, 500円くらい)に乗せてもらい、アルティンアラシャンに向かう。3日間の縦走を決行すべく、ヤクツアーの山小屋に泊まり出発の準備 (3日間の縦走をする為に80ℓのバックパックをレンタル250som、食料は街で買い込み)。翌日出発し、氷河湖(アラキョル湖)を見ながらカラコル国定公園を抜けてカラコルに3日間かけて戻ろうという計画。






At the beginning, I thought I would go from town to Altyn Arashan but found that all rental backpack at all agents are already booked.
逆ルートも考えたが、カラコルのどの旅行会社もレンタルバックパックは全て貸し出し中で逆ルートは無理だった。


The jeep, a Russian super power jeep, took me to Alltyn Arashan. The road to Arashan was super rough, but this jeep went through. I was pretty amazed. The view was already awesome, so i thought I should have put my things on the jeep and hiked.
そんなこんなで、出発。ジープはロシア製のバン？ めちゃくちゃ馬力があって、ありえない山路を登って行く。この時点でかなり景色が良かったから、歩いても良かったかも。




It took me 2 hours to get there. Altyn Arashan is surrounded by many mountains, so there were already enough materials for people to relax or have fun. Also they have a hot spring!! If I started from Kalakol, I could go to the hot spring after backpacking. It's not open hot spring but mixing bath; male and female. Nice!!
アルティンアラシャンはカラコルからジープで2時間の山中にあって、ここに来るだけでも十分満足できそうな場所。しかも温泉付きです。逆ルートだったら歩き終わってから温泉につかれたのに。。。露天じゃないのがちと惜しい。ちなみに混浴です。自分が入った時は、2人の美女が一緒でした。ははは






The guesthouse was similar to Japanese normal mountain hut. It costs me 750som included 3 meals. There are more possibility to backpack more than a week but also are many attractions around this place like small hikes or horse trekking. I think this place is the best place for people who need to wait for visa.
山小屋は日本の山小屋とあんま大差なく、値段は750somで3食付。ここから長いルートだと1週間以上の縦走も可能らしい。縦走じゃなくても、アルティンアラシャン周辺は日帰りで行って来られる場所がいくつかあるみたいだし、ビザ待ちの間とかに来るならかなり良い場所だと思う。


Anyway, I will take off to the Kyrgyz mountains tomorrow.
そんなわけで明日から山に分け入ります。

Staying in Kalakol. This is one of the best area to hike in Kyrgyzstan; the view is like Swiss-land, Kyrgyzstan is sometime called as Swiss-land of Central Asia.

カラコルに到着。ここはキルギスの中でも風光明媚な場所で、正に中央アジアのスイスたる所以の場所？なのかな。



The reason I'm here is of cause to hike up mountains.

そうそう、ここに来た目的は湖を一周したかったのもあるし、山に入りたかったから。


Okay, I'm ready to go......, but it's raining. I think better to wait and think my plan.

さぁ山に行くぞ！と思ったが、天候は雨模様。しばらくカラコルで様子を見ながら作戦を寝る事にします。


Where I'm stay is at a guest house that I found my guidebook. It's called Yak tours. The building is old Russian house. Very interesting place to stay.

宿は旅行人にあるヤクツアー。古いロシア風民家なのかな？全体が骨董品みたいで、宿主のセンスが感じられる。

Finally, I left Bishkek. Sakura, the guest house I stayed was too comfortable for me to leave. In day 7 of Bishkek, the owner got water in the pool of guesthouse, so that made me stay longer. Then finally in day 9, I decided to take off.

ビシュケクをようやく出発。サクラゲストハウスは居心地が良すぎた。滞在7日目にはプールに水がはられて、さらに出発を延期。どうにかこうにか9日目にようやく出発。いやいや沈没寸前。


Now, I'm cycling.
そんなわけで現在キルギス走行中。


Headed east to cycle around the big lake called Иссык Кчпь, clockwise. I was really looking forward to cycling Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan so am supposed to take more time this part.

ウスキョル湖を時計回りで進んでおります。キルギス・タジキスタンはかなり楽しみにしていた場所。味わいながら進みたいと思います。

At the beginning of 2 days, I cycled with a couple cyclist from Swiss-land. They are very nice to cycle with. I think more western cyclists are couple than Japanese cyclist. I'm jealous.

初日から2日間は宿で知り合ったスイス人サイクリストカッポーと並走した。日本人サイクリストはピンが多いような気がするが、欧米人サイクリストはカッポーが多い。あ～羨ましい。






Cycling in Kyrgyzstan are very nice as I expected; many people try to talk and to say hello to me. However, the road was not well constructed.

キルギス、人が良いね～。 カザフスタンでもあったような沿道からの気さくな挨拶、気持ちよい。ただ道はやはり荒目アスファルト。走りにく。


The lake was beautiful; thick blue and very clear. The temperature of it is not very cold so it is nice to swim to cool down my body. I heard that a famous monk in China went by this lake on their journey long time ago. They should have gone inside of the lake to cool off.

ウスキョル。綺麗だ～ メチャ青くて透明度が高い。水もそこまで冷たくないから、泳ぐとカナリ気持ち良い。この湖、三蔵法師もその昔通ったらしい。トゥルパンに続き三蔵法師ゆかりの地二箇所目。彼等も道中この湖で身体を冷やしたんじゃないでしょうか。




About place to stay, like Kazakhstan, I stayed local family.

道中の宿はというと、カザフスタンに続き民泊メイン。ビシュケクから3日間は道中知り合ったキルギス人家族にお世話になりました。

They were very nice and willing to let me stay at their home. I think Kyrgyz use mattress to sleep like Futon in Japan so very nice for me to sleep.

本当に手厚くもてなされて、感謝感謝。キルギス人の寝床は日本の布団と良く似ていて、布団派の自分には嬉しいかぎり、かなり良く寝れる。




A family I stayed at the first day, they provided us sauna.
ビシュケク出発初日にお世話になった家族。サウナにも入れさせて頂いた。かなり疲れが取れる。




For almost all case, people treated me with Chy tea, bread and yoghurt.

どの家庭でもチャイとパン、ヨーグルトが必ず出てくる。



A family I met in day 3, I ate a lot.
3日目に世話になった家族。たらふく食べさせて頂きました。




There were horses and donkeys everywhere. People use them as normal transportation.
ビシュケクではあまり見なかったが、馬やロバがそこら中にいて、普通に交通手段として働いている。

Staying nice Japanese owner's guest house, and Ive been relaxing for a week. I got a visa with Pamir permision for Tajikistan so am ready to go.

久々の日本人宿。かなりリラックスの日々。第一任務であったタジキスタンビザとパミール高原の観光許可証も月曜に申請し、翌日には問題なく取得。

I just stayed at the guesthouse and talked cyclists and tourists. It's very fun to listen and talk about how we went. Chinese toilet conversation make always lough.

ひたすら滞在してるサイクリストや旅人としゃべり続けてた。こんな海外旅人と会うのは久々。楽しい楽しい。中国トイレネタはかなり盛り上がる。

Also, as I alway do after getting in new country, I cycled and walked around town to look for a sticker. Nice to cycle and see snowy mountain behind city. People here are also nice and kind. Fruit and vegetable are cheep and tasty.

その他は、新たな国に来た際の恒例行事になってるステッカー探しをしながら街中を走り周っていた。ビシュケクも近郊に氷河を抱く山々があって綺麗だ。人も親切だし女性は綺麗。食べ物はフルーツ、スイカが安くて美味しい。

Will start move. As my plan, will go cycle around a big lake and go toward Narun instead of taking Osh highway.

そろそろ動こう。ビシュケク出た後は、湖を一周してからオシュハイウェイを避けてナルン方向に行くつもり。

I love the smell oh glass land. Smell of Lemon glass was brought from somewhere by wind in the morning.

草原の匂いって好きだ。朝起きるとプ～ンと漂ってくるレモングラス？の香。清々しい。


I met couple of guys on my way.

ビシュケク道中初日、2人サイクリストに会った。しかも同じ方角。


A guy from england, Paul, he started in east china and heading to England. A guy from German, Paco started in Almaty and heading to Toshkent. Since we had same direction till the border of Kyrgyzstan, we cycled together for 3 days. Its very nice to be with someone to talk especially after cycling and morning.

1人は中国スタートのイングランドゴールを目指すイングランド人ポール。Mr.ビーンにそっくり？もう1人はアルマティスタートのウズベキスタンゴールを目指すドイツ人パコ。喋ると止まらない。久々の並走、しかも3日間も。走り終わってからの団欒、起きた後の団欒、いやいや、やはり楽しい。





We separated at a border town which was a bit sad. I head that many cyclists cycle central Asia during summer like many cyclists in Hokkaido in summer.

そんな彼等とはキルギスタン国境まで走りお別れ。みんな別々の道を行く。夏の中央アジアはサイクリスト天国らしく、さながら夏の北海道らしい。

Anyway, this is my last day of Kazakhstan and now next country Kyrgyzstan.

そんでもって、あっという間のカザフスタン、今日からキルギスタンに突入致します。


Kyrgyzstan, Japanese don't need visas. Very happy to be out of annoying visa Term.

日本人はビザ無しOkayの素晴らしい新日国です。 久々にビザ期限から解放されるんで嬉しい嬉しい。


I cross the border 20km north of Bishkek. There were many people waiting to get their ID checked so took a bit time. Eventually I went through without any problems.

入国はビシュケクから20キロ程北のゲート。かなり人が多くて少し時間がかかったが問題なし。こんな親切な人が沢山いるカザフスタンに2週間しかいれなくて残念だったが仕方ない。





Now, I'm writing this in Bishkek. Staying at a Japanese guesthouse, Sakura. It's been a long time not to talk to Japanese, so I'm very happy now.

っという事でビシュケクに到着してます。宿は日本人宿サクラゲストハウス。久々に沢山見る日本人。カンボジアのタケオ以来だ。日本人良いな～。波長が合うな～。ただ、久々に日本語しゃべるからなかなか言葉がスムーズに出てこない。


I think I do research for visas issues next few month then took off.

とりあ数日かけて今後の予定を考えよう。

Got the visa for Uzbekistan visa which I expected to get end of this week. The term on visa was 8 of Aug till 10th of Sep. I thought I could stay 34 days but the guy told me only 30 days between those days.

先週火曜日に申請し、今週にはできると言われていたウズベキスタンビザ。今日月曜日に取りに行ったら出来上がってました。ラッキー。期間は8/6～9/10。ん？34日？ 窓口の叔父さんに34日も滞在できるのか！って聞いたら、この中で30日だとさ。そんなうまい話はないよね。






By the way, I could change the term at the counter. At first, a guy asked me the term of visiting to make sure when I want to go. If I told him to change, he could. Because I saw a English guy changed.

ちなみに、窓口に着いた時に、申請書とパスポートを見ながら、日程の再確認をされる。この時に、違う日程を提示すれば変更可能。実際に領事館で会ったイギリス人は15日程日程をずらしてた。




Got the visa and saw enough beautiful kazakhstan women, I'm really to go now.

という事で、ビザも取れたし、綺麗なカザフ人女性を沢山見れたし、明日ビシュケクに向け出発しまーす。

A bazar that is supposed to be the biggest in central Asia. I went there yesterday but couldn't see all. Too big to see all in one day.
昨日行ってきた、中央アジア最大と言われているバザール。デカすぎて一日じゃあるけませんでした。

一週間世話になった部屋。シジモーニ・ニェーバオススメです。

It's been 4days in Almaty. I like this place because people are nice to tourists and town is clean.
アルマトゥ滞在4日目、人が親切だし、街が綺麗。なかなか居心地がよろしゅうございます。





This is a big city in central Asia , so here is many shopping centers where good looking Russian women go.

ここアルマティはかなり大きな街。街中にはブティックやらデパートやらが立ち並んでいて、ロシア系の綺麗な女性が沢山歩いており、目の保養になっております。



My guide book and some web showed me the cost of live here would be expensive but it was not really. It's because now Ten is very strong; almost double from a few years ago. Now 100 Kazakhstan Tenge is about 200 yen.

ここに来る前までは物価が高いと聞いていたが、そんな事はない。円高の影響で、つい最近の倍日本円が強く。200円が約100テンゲといった状況。




As long as I can stay at decent cheep guest house, cost of the day should be about 3000T.

宿さえ安く決められれば、一日3000テンゲくらいで生活はできる。

By the way, my guest house is close to Sailan bus station. It costs me 1500T/day. It doesn't come with shower but I can wash my hair on a washstand. I like this place because stuff is nice and quiet.

こんな感じ。ちなみに自分が今泊まっているのは、サイランバス停すぐ近くのシジモーニ・ニェーバという安宿。ダブルを1人で使って1500テンゲ。フロは無いが、洗面台で頭は洗える。静かだし、スタッフは親切だし結構気に入ってる。

The reason I stay in this town is to get a visa for Uzbekistan. I visited the embassy on last Tuesday, 5th, and they told me to come back on next week between 11th and 14th; They don't care detail of picking up time.

長居してる理由はウズベキスタンビザ待ち。火曜日(5日)に行って申請し、来週の11～14日くらいにあるはずだとさ。アバウト。でもこの適当さは嫌いじゃない。

For cycling itself, there were a lot of extreme switch-bucks and high passes in Yunnan, Sichuan and Southern Qinghai. I had at least 4000m< mountain passes every day on my way. Road condition were pretty bad in many part; bumpy, dusty and muddy. I got pretty of reason that made my body and bike abusing. However, super nice view from passes were forgetting my tiredness every time.

走行自体はというと、雲南・四川・青海南部までは4000m< の峠越えが毎日のようにあった。道もオフロードが多く、かなり自転車も身体も酷使していたと思う。ただその度に疲れを吹き飛ばす絶景が待っていた(悪天候の時は只々達成感だけだったが)
















Also, I got pretty of trouble with police men and dogs. Now, I got a lot of scars on my rear bags. I really recommend everyone who want to go where I went through that be prepare for dogs. You might get killed. Now, everything over those problem became my sweet memories.

公安や犬にも大分世話になった、自分のパニアバックにはいくつもの勲章として傷跡が残っている。
悪い事は言いません、犬への対応策はしっかりと学んでから行きましょう。本当殺られますよ。
今思うと本当良い思い出です。

中国を走り終えて。













During my stay, I had been fascinated by how various diversity of people there were.

単に民族多様性にただただ驚かされ、本当刺激的な毎日だった。












People live with mother nature. In Yunnan, there were many different tribal village in each valley. Tibetian, their life go with Yak. They drink milk of it, use skins as cloth and even use shit as fuel. Their life stile was very interesting.

自然と共に生きる様々な人達。谷が違えば文化・言葉が違う少数民族の宝庫、雲南。強力な紫外線が照らす中、ヤクと共に生きるチベット族の人達。ヤクの乳を飲み、ヤクの毛皮を着、寒ければヤクのクソを燃やして暖をとる。そんな彼等の生活はすごく興味深かった。










I met many nice people in country side. They invited me butter tea and let me stay at their home. Their hospitality was amazing.

地方で出会う人達はみな良い人達ばかりで、バター茶に招かれるのもしばしば。時には一晩の宿を提供して頂いた。損得を考えず旅人をもてなす彼等のホスピタリティには本当感動。














However, I often met more ass-holes than any other countries I came through. Their attitude when I ask the map, went to a restaurant and guesthouse were sometime fuck... I couldn't believe how loose they were.

一方で、嫌な人間に会った回数も東南アジアに比べて断然多かったのも事実。道を尋ねた際、食堂での対応。中国語ができない人間に対して、こんなに失礼な人が多い国は他にあるだろうか？













Some tourists I met on the way said same so that many think same way I think.

道中出会った旅人達も同じ事を言っていたので、同じ事を思ってる人は多いと思う。















Now, more and more this country is internationalized. They should think that people from other countries look at how Chinese act.

国際化が進み、対外的に内部を色んな国の人達に見られている人民達。もっと彼等は「見られてる」という意識を持った方が良いと思う。








Thus, I had a lot of good things and ass-holes in China. Those must make this part the best part of my journey.

そんな、良い事も嫌な事も沢山あった中国走行。問題なしで、この旅通してベストパートの一つになるでしょう。

This is an episode when I visited Uzbekistan embassy.

ウズベキスタンビザの申請で領事館を訪問してる時の出来事。








I took my bike to there and parked it outside where some people waiting while I was applying my visa.

領事館までは自転車乗って行って、申請中は自転車を外の人がワサワサいる場所に置いておいた。





When I finished and went out, it seemed rained.

申請を一通り終えて、外に出ると、地面が濡れていて、どうやら通り雨があったようだった。

On my way here, I often met nice people. I wondered it was just lucky or it's pretty normal in Kazakhstan. I think Kazakh are very very nice people.

ここまで、神がかり的？に良い人と出会うのは偶然？それともカザフ人は良い人が多い？ 多分、カザフ人は良い人が多いんでしょう。







Second day since the border, I was just pedaling without making sure the destination as usual. From 100km of the village where I stayed last night, I reached a village called Kokpel. Of cause this village seemed to be too small to find a guesthouse. However, i found one. I asked local people a place of sleep for tonight then they let me stay their home.. Very nice.

アルマトゥまでの道中、カザフ2日目も特に目的地を決めずに走って、ダスカラスから100キロくらい。コクペルという集落に到着。宿なんてあるわけもないが、第一村人に話しかけ、宿を探してるのをアピールする。するとまたしても「泊まっていきなよ」って。










How nice Kazakh are. This family had 5kids. I felt a bit sorry for that they gave me space for me, so I gave them a few appreciation.

簡単すぎる。この御宅には5人も子供がいて、さすがに申し訳ないんで多少のお礼をさせて頂きました。







This village is in middle of nowhere. Only you can see was grassland and mountains which I thought very beautiful. They had a water from mountain. This water was very cold and nice.

草原の中にあるこの集落。正に周りには何にもない。ただ、山からの湧き水を引いてあって、使い放題飲み放題。この水が旨かった！





For next day, I had been encountering nice people.
The neighbor of where I stayed invited me a breakfast so I had some bread and milk tea with them. A car driver gave me a big bread. A truck driver treated me a dinner.....

翌日も良い人達との出会い続き。朝はコクペルのカフェで朝ご飯のパンとチャイをご馳走になり、走行途中で会ったおばちゃんからはデッカイパンを頂き。夕時にはウイグル人のトラックドライバーと出会い、夕飯をご馳走になってしまった。

カザフスタン大好きだーー！

Day for out of China and also for going into Kazakhstan. My visa was bailed until today, so I was really hopping nothing happened, like gate is closed...

カザフスタン入り当日、中国ビザ期限最終日。本当ギリギリ。国境閉じてたらオーバーステイ決定。だからコルガスへの道中ドキドキ。









Well, the gate wad opened. Yeah!!

国境、開いております。良かった～










When I got to the gate for China side, there were already many people waiting. Then in few min, I was surrounded by exchangers. Of cause I need some Kazakhstan Tenge so changed some. 1050 yuen →20000T. 100T ≠ $0.6

中国側のイミグレゲートに着くと既に人集り。間髪いれずに両替人に囲まれ、あっという間にテンゲをゲット。1050元→2万tg。こんなもんしょ。100円 ≠ 200T











10:30am, the gate was opened. I pushed through my bike into a building. Then went through all process without problem. I was very nervous to be asked about visa deadline because i didn't leave any extra time. But no problem..Yes!!

10時30分になり開門。自転車ごと建物に入り、全ての手続きを済ませる。ギリ出国だったから何か問題あったらどうしようかドキドキしてた。が、問題なく出国スタンプもらえて一安心。審査官は何度も日数を確認してた。












To the Kazakhstan immigration, we needed to take a bus because all people were not allowed to cross the buffer zone by walking or bike. The cost of this bus was 70 yuen which I thought stupid because the distance was just 5km....

カザフスタンイミグレへの移動はバス。緩衝地帯は自転車・徒歩での通行不可。たった5キロくらいの移動なのに70元なんて馬鹿らしい。何故か寝台車にすし詰めにされ移動。青いフェンスに仕切られた道路がカザフのイミグレまで続いております。


















When we reached the immigration, I saw officers wearing a huge hats and militants who looked Russian. Those brought my feeling that i came to Kazakhstan.

カザフスタン側へ到着すると、やたらとデカイ帽子をかぶった職員、ロシア系の軍人がウロウロしていて、カザフスタンへ着いた事を実感した。









The process of immigration was very smooth so took me only 10min to go out. However, there were more gates next 5km.

入国審査はいたってスムーズで、ものの10分くらいで外に出れた。ただ、まだ国境地帯？からは出ていなく、ここから5キロくらいの間に2ヶ所くらいゲートがあって、その度にパスポートチェックがあって煩わしかった。












Then finally, I started cycling central Asia. Yeah!!!!

そして、いよいよ本格走行開始。中央アジア編スタートです。
















Well, my first inspiration is that people in here were super nice. I think it's because I came from China? Drivers, people walking and kids, all were welcoming me. I felt super super nice!!! Every time I asked something people tried their best I think.

カザフスタン、めちゃくちゃ人がフレンドリー。中国側から来たからよけいにそう感じるのかもしれないが、ドライバー、通行人、外で遊んでる子供達、みんな笑顔で挨拶してくる。とても気持ちが良い。道を訪ねても言葉の解らない自分に根気良く教えてくれる。







It's really nice start for me..

いやいや、カザフスタン、かなり好印象です。












From the border to Almaty, there were mostly grassland. I often saw nomads chasing livestock.

カザフスタンのコルガスからアルマトゥ方向へ向かう道中、ステップの草原が広がり、遊牧民が家畜を追いかけてる姿を良く見かける。














There were many Japanese cars, Mercedes, Audy and Russian old cars running. Also many donkey caring trailer goes on the road. They were very cute.

車は日本車、メルセデス、アウディ、ロシア製のオンボロ自動車が良く走っているが、その中にロバ車なんかも良く走っていて、とても愛くるしい。

メルセデス→トヨタ→ロシア車→アウディ→メルセデス→三菱→ロバ車？みたいな。













I usually don't make sure the destination of the day. This time also I didn't. About 100km from the border, I reached a town called Таскарасу.

いつも走りながら行き先を決めてる自分。カザフスタン初日の今日も、何処まで走るか決めていないまま、国境から100キロくらい走った Таскарасу ダスカラスという小さな村に到着。












Nomads came talked to me so we were having conversation. Then they told me that I might be able to stay at a cafe in this village. I went there. People in cafe were very nice so they let me stay in this night.

遊牧民少年に呼び止められて道端で話していると、「そこのレストランで泊まらせてくれるかもよ」っというありがたいお言葉。レストランへ行くとアッサリオッケー。ちなみに宿じゃなく、オーナー所有の空き家？ジム？ しかもタダで良いよだって。











I met a lot of nice people in first day of Kazakhstan. I was 120% satisfied.

何かカザフスタン初日は良い人達に沢山出会えて、120％満足です。







Well, I am now going to Almaty, a major city of Kazakhstan where 1.3million people live.
