I am staying at a famous backpacker's hotel "Vali's non smoking homestay" because some cyclists I met, we are supposed to meet up here.
ドゥシャンべやブハラで会ったサイクリスト達と落ち合うために、マシュハドではVali's non-smoking homestay に泊まった。



This place is far from city center but they have nice rate and meal. $6/night $3 dinner $1breakfast. In Iran, they had a black exchange rate that I didn't know. Official is $1=12200Real, and black is 24000. By exchanging black rate, you can travel very cheaply in this country.
中心のモスクには遠いが、飯は美味いし、値段もそこそこ。ちなみに、イランにも闇レートが存在するらしく、肯定レートの倍。自分がネットでチェックしたのは肯定レートで$1=12200リアル、実際は24000リアル。闇レートで考えると、かなり安く旅をできる国です。サイクリスト達とは無事に再開し、楽しい報告会であった。

Falake-ye Haram-e Motahhar is one of the place where I wanted to visit in Mashhad. First of all, Mashhad is one of the holly places, and Falake-ye Haram-e Motahhar is the center of this city. So that there are many people visiting here from all over the world.
まずイランで行ってみたかったのが、マシュハドの中心にあるハラメ・モタッハル広場。そもそもマシュハドはシーア派の聖地で、その中心がハラメ・モタッハル広場。世界中から巡礼者が訪れている。







In Iran, women wear black cloth, Chador. The mix of modern city and those women wearing chador makes a bit strange view of town.
やはりイラン、女性は黒いベール(チャドル)を着て歩いてる。マシュハドはとても都会的なのに歩いてる人がベールを着てたり、短パンの人がいなかったり、すごく異様な雰囲気。

In Falake-ye Haram-e Motahhar, there were grave of holly person in center. All pilgrims are heading to here. A lot of shinny decoration inside.
この広場の中の中心が核で、聖人の墓がある。みんなここを目指す。中は金ピカ。一心不乱に祈る人々。





To be honest, I was thinking if I should go inside or not but decided to get in because I thought I should have seen this.
実際、墓がある建物内に入るのは気が引けたが、見ておかなければならない気がして入らせて頂いた。

There are a lot of pilgrims inside and praying, praying and praying. In the center, there was a shining coffin. All people here try to touch this. There were people crying, screaming and shouting in the room. It was very strange mood for me. However this is one of real world. Those view, people crying, made me think about the power of religion and how it changes people..This was real world really..It was a great experience.
絢爛豪華な建物内は人で埋め尽くされ、その中心の墓も金ピカ。我先にカンに触ろうと押し合いへし合い。泣き叫ぶ女性や、泣きじゃくる人々。少し寒気すらした。四川省のチベット族地区にある寺を訪れた際に見た、殉教者達もそうであったが、人をこうまで動かす「宗教の力」は何なんだろぉ。何故にここまで宗教に執着するのか。これもまた世界の一部なのである。いや、本当見れて良かったと思う。
